Around this playground more trees are neeeded and beyond is a large area suitable for urban forest planting. Water from the drain around the edge can be used for the trees when young. Elsewhere in the park we have had excellent growth over 5 years of indigenous species.

Last August 2015 we did some planting near the playground and around half the trees survived the drought and heat. The area in the background remains bare.
