In September 2012, shortly before his promotion to Bangkok, MR Panadda Diskul, Governor of Chiang Mai received a delegation of tree lovers.
The delegation spoke of the importance of planting indigenous, rather than exotic trees and asked that the protection and care of trees on government land be promoted.
Following the delegation the Governor wrote the following letter to the Chiang Mai Environment office. We thank him for his action.
